Uptown Charlotte is not just for work—it’s for play, too! See your favorite musician or catch a show at any of the six uptown stages of Blumenthal Performing Arts. Take the kids to Discovery Place or ImaginOn for a fun and educational afternoon, then go to the EpiCentre for bowling or for a more adult evening at any of the 40 restaurant, bar and nightlife venues found in this vibrant and exciting development.

If it’s more culture you’re looking for, Charlotte’s museums, including the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, the Mint Museum, Harvey Gantt Center and the Levine Museum of the New South will open the worlds of art and the history of the area to you during normal open hours and special community events.

If sports rev your motor, visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame or cheer on the Carolina Panthers (NFL) and the Charlotte Knights AAA baseball team will be playing in the Spring of 2014 at the BB&T Ballpark  near the new Romare Bearden Park .

And don’t worry, you’ll find plenty of green spaces even in the heart of Uptown, with micro parks, The Green, home of Charlotte’s summer outdoor Shakespeare Festival, Marshall Park and the Sugar Creek Greenway all at your doorstep.

Five major and many, many smaller festivals are going on all year in uptown Charlotte—just another reason for residents of Uptown Charlotte to celebrate and join in all living here has to offer.

The new Romare Bearden Park , located on over five acres between Uptown's soaring skyscrapers and Bank of America Stadium, is the new center of outdoor music and arts.   Events include the Bearden Music Series, Lunchbox Music Series, Party in the Park series, Arts Shows and RomareFest to kick off the season in the spring.
